Free Eye Test & Glasses with Medical Card or PRSI
It’s so simple!
Eye tests are free if you are entitled to PRSI treatment or have a Medical Card. That’s the same whether you are employed or self-employed. Also, you may be entitled to a pair of reading glasses and a pair of distance glasses along with your free test.
What do you need to do?:
Just pop into us today and we’ll help you to find out if you’re eligible for a free eye test and glasses.
- If you think you qualify through the medical card scheme then you need to bring your Medical Card along with you. We’ll help you fill in the application form which will then be returned to the HSE for authorisation. Once you receive the form back in the post from the HSE you can book your free test with us.
- If you think you qualify through PRSI then just bring your PPS number. We can check straight away if you’re eligible and then book your free test.
